6 – Q & A (Questions & Answers)

Q & A #6

* What is your favourite color? *

My favorite color has and probably will always be pink. But I am very attracted to Earth tones: brown, peach, beige.

* Who is your favorite actor? *

Johnny Depp hands down. I love his oddness and roles. He’s so inspirational. Everytime I see one of his movies, it speaks to me saying, “It’s okay to be yourself people will still love you for who you are”.

* First person you talked to today? *

I think it was either my mom or someone on Texas Holdem lol.

* What is your favorite store? *

In my area there is a store called Wegmans. Love it there, great customer service. You  can get in and get out.

* Have you done anything recently that you hope nobody finds out about? *

Masturbate. Yup, I said it.

* Can you keep white shoes clean? *

Yes. My secret is bathroom cleaner. I just spray the foamy bathroom cleaner on my sneakers, leave it on for a few seconds and then wipe it up with a tissue or a rag and there clean. Brand new. Although it does not work on the shoe strands.

5 – Q & A (Questions & Answers)

Q & A #5

* Do you smile at strangers? *

Yes.

* If you’re being extremely quiet what does it mean? *

I want to be left alone or theres something I want to say but I can’t build up the might to say it.

* Have you ever been drunk? *

No but I’d like to experience it some time with my future husband.

* What’s the last thing you ate? *

Bacon &  Baby Spinach

* Do you think you’ll be in a relationship two months from now? *

I highly doubt it because I am currently not ready to be in a relationship. I feel like I have a lot to learn and a lot of experiences to go through before I find the man I want to spend my life with.

* What was your childhood nickname? *

Jazzie or Jazzie Pooh.

#3 Q & A (Questions & Answers)

I found this post on tumblr asking all these questions and I thought to myself, “Hmm this would be a great idea for my blog.”

So from now on everyday I’ll just be posting a question(s) and answer(s). Its really for myself just to reflect back on in the future and see my growth 😀

—————————————————————-

Q & A #3

* Do you have trust issues? *

When it comes to my family yes I do because I feel as though they do not deserve my trust. Too much drama and repeating what others say, talking behind backs. I can’t have a conversation with anyone without it being repeated to someone else.

As for relationship/friendships, no. I consider them people who are a reflection of me because we are close. I can choose for them to be in my life or not. With family you can not, they’re forever your family. So whoever is my inner circle as a friend or boyfriend, they are there because I trust them and care for them.

* Is your hair long enough for a pony tail? *

It would be a very tight fit and a tiny ponytail lol but it is possible. I actually tried it last week.

*  Favorite part of your daily routine? *

Being able to relax and plan ahead of time, the things I am going to do.

* What kind of people are you attracted to? *

I’m attracted to people who are tough on the outside but beautiful on the inside. I don’t know why but I love finding out more about someone who has a mystery to them or a tough exterior. Not everyone lets me in but majority of them do and its beautiful to see someones inner beauty.

* What colour is your underwear? *

Light pink kind of peach.

Beyonce’s Bow Down Bitches is on Nicki Minaj’s Stupid Hoe Level

I thought that song was extremely disgraceful. Disgraceful to Beyonce’s talent, career and as a person. Beyonce is always trying to portray herself as a perfectionist, a good singer, a hardworking lovable person that is also mother and a good wife. This is what she wants us to think of her as.

So my question is, when did she get so cocky to the point where she thinks she is better than anyone? I honestly think its the money and the people around her that have boosted her head so high that she literally thinks she is above everyone. Money can only take you so far. It won’t get you close to God or in Heaven. This song was just…too much. Everyone knows Beyonce only goes hard in her vocals and maybe even dancing but her as a person, NO. She doesn’t even role like that.

What makes this even worse is the people who are her fans aka stans are people who literally go off at the mouth once you say something that isn’t in light of Beyonce. Its like chickens running around with no head. These are the people representing Beyonce and helping her stay financed because it sure isn’t me. I don’t think her stans realize that when she says bow down she is not only belittling the so called “haters” but her stans too. Basically saying none of you are on my level.

I just can’t. This song is on Nicki Minaj’s Stupid Hoe level. Its THAT dumb to me. People who say they like it, only like it because its Beyonce and/or they been waiting for her to come back in the scene. Either way this is a classic act of trash and it is ashame President Obama is associated with these type of people.

Thats how I feel about it..

Transition or Big Chop: Best Websites To Get Advice

I’ve searched many places to get advice and there are plenty of groups and websites dedicated to black women and helping with giving advice, tips, how to’s, etc..

Now I know of places like lets say for instance a page on fb named “Black Women with Real Hair“, that have plenty of people signed up for the page and who comment on it but they mostly post photos and off topic subjects  Not much advice is given there. So  I would NEVER recommend that place to anyone unless you are looking for some photos of natural/relaxed hair plus the page owner has a bad habit of “making fun” of people.

So the places I am going to provide you with are places I feel are PACKED with information and advice that I currently go to..

  1. Texture Me Natural :This is a FB (Facebook) page run by one person and she sales ALL natural scented 306630_584701551556101_516691094_nproducts that you can buy (which I have bought myself and its THE BOMB DOT COM!!). The reason why this is at the top of my page is because you could just scroll down this groups pages and find out SOOOOO much information about being natural and techniques  I mean this group’s information its self could run circles around EVERY place I’ve visited. Not only that but if you have a question and you submit it, the owner will re-post it and have other people answer your question. Their suggestions are usually always on point and the page owner has some beautiful hair, to die for healthy hair. Love this page. (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Texture-Me-Natural/194003070625953)
  2. Naptural85: This is a Youtube Guru. The reason why I recommend her is because her videos date from when she had short hair until now. She gives great advice not only that but her videos are clean and simple. Very easy to understand and she has a nice energy.
  3. Natural-Hair-Care-Info(FB page)/Natural Hair Care (Website): This is a fb page that I absolutely love. It includes a few family members (brother and sisters). The main page owner is one of the older sisters. She has a little sister with very long hair that she regularly posts (I believe her name is Bunny) and a little brother that she posts time to time. She also posts photos of herself but she looks so much like her little sister I thought for the longest they were the same people lol. I love the styles that they shows and how lovely and long Bunny’s hair is, very inspirational. Not only that but if you go to their website it is packed with useful tips. I learned how to properly wash my hair from their website. (https://www.facebook.com/Natural.Hair.Care.Info?fref=ts)
  4. MyNaturalSistas: This is another YouTube Guru channel but the difference is it is ran by 3 different women, I think they are all sisters or related. But this channel is great because you get advice from 3 different women and techniques. My favorite person on this channel to watch is India. She goes into depth about her weight loss journey and she has the longest hair out of the 3 of them.
  5. Kink Curly Coily Me!: This is a FB page owned by the owner of kinkycurlycoilyme.com, she’s been featured in magazines, hosts natural hair events, goes to events, has a youtube channel, etc. The ONLY reason why I recommend this page is because she usually links everything she does to this page. So if she uploads a new video on Youtube she lets you know on this page. She also updates you on her newest products, her hair photos and what she is eating. I like her attitude too, most page owners get mad if people disagree but she is completely fine with it. She also reposts some of the questions submitted but not all of them. (https://www.facebook.com/KinkyCurlyCoilyMe?fref=ts)
  6. BlackHairMedia: If you have read some of my previous post then you may know that I have mentioned blackhairmedia a few times, so why is it number 6? Well the reason why is because this place is not only about natural hair, it has different subjects too most women come their for weave or full lace information which the women up there…sometimes they respond sometimes they dont, a lot of them are reluctant to even help. BUT if you want to know about natural hair then you would have to go to the “Natural Hair” part of the forum. Once you do go to the natural hair side of the forum you will notice that the posts with the most information are older posts and sometimes you have read 10 different posts just to find what you are looking for. I must admit I don’t really visit this site THAT MUCH but I did find out about giving my hair a protein treatment just by using peanut butter from this forum and they have great recipes so..my props to the recipe side is always on point. (http://forum.blackhairmedia.com)

So off the top of my head these are the main websites that I would recommend. Hope these links help anyone in need. If I think of anymore websites then I will post them.

Hair Journey: Big Chop Experience so far…

Fighting with Moisture

When I was transitioning I did not have to moisturize my hair nearly as much as I am now. The other day my hair felt pretty moist then today it just felt as dry as ever! Its a little frustrating. I think there are 3 reasons why my hair is so dry.

  • ONE: A combination of High Porosity and heat Damage from so much blow drying over the past. I used to let my hair just naturally dry but it would tangle so I stopped doing it and took the easier route…blow drying. I have no stopped blow drying and I let my hair naturally dry….have I really seen a difference? No, still has the same effect, my hair is pretty dry either way.

I watched a Youtube Guru the other day that just happened to cross my mind, LeobodyC5…she has insanely long natural hair, love it! As I was watching one of her videos on her hair routine she mentioned how at one point she had to cut a tremendous amount of hair because it was damaged from too much blow drying or heat damage. So right now I’m wondering if I should big chop again this time ALL my hair or am  I in another phase of transitioning…grow 3 inches of hair and cut off all that I have right now…hmm

  • TWO: It’s dry because I big chopped…a lot of women said they had a to constantly moisturize when they big chopped because their hair was so dry.
  • THREE: I have a very strong feeling it probably has to do with the product I’m using to moisturize. I’m using African Pride Moisturizing Lotion…it’s a very thin moisturizer so that may be my problem right there.  Right now I’m looking for a thick product that I can use…I really hate this whole trial and error thing because who wants to keep spending there money? Lol..

What am I doing to correct this?

Searching for a new moisturizing product. The next product I will try for my moisturizer…I don’t know..I have this list of moisturizers, conditioners, shampoos for naturals from this facebook group that I am in..I’ll post it later on today and highlight the products of interest to me. One product that I keep hearing about is Sheabutter…or something like that…I wouldn’t mind purchasing it but I hate using the same thing that EVERYONE seems to be using I want to try something different.

Also while I search for a new moisturizers I’m moisturizing my hair constantly…I moisturize in the morning and at night…sometimes in the afternoon.

So this is what I am having difficulties with right now.
