When you workout don’t be lazy. Go in hard and hard. Do the best that you can do but at your comfort. Remember, its your body and only you can change it. While those others are doing whats fine with them, do whats fine and good for you. Don’t be afraid to take that step.

I Lost 10 LBS, Yay!

work out motivationBut it took 5 months. LOL. So I got on my sisters new scale; mind you I was going by the weight I weighed whenever I visited the doctors office but I don’t have any appointments scheduled currently. I decided to hop on my sister’s scale, something I never do and when I weighed myself it said 220.2 LBS. I said to myself,”It has got to be wrong I haven’t weighed that much naturally since High School”. I hadn’t been dieting at all or exercising so I thought it was very odd. So I weighed myself about 8 more times to see if it would change and it didn’t. So I waited for my sis to weigh herself, since she always announces how her weight. She had just came from the doctors so I knew if her weight from the scale matched what the doctors told her, her weight was then mine was accurate. So she weighed herself, announced how much she weighed and it matched! So I’m proud to announce that I am 220LBS, woot!

That was some great motivation not to mention that same day I just happened to catch on tv abc the show called,”Extreme Weight Loss” with this woman named Meredith Prince and she just so happens to live in my area! My area is hardly EVER on national tv so I said to myself,”If that isn’t God speaking to me then I don’t know what is.” After watching her motivational weight loss and seeing her lose weight in a year. She went from 314 to 155lbs in one year. What an accomplishment! Anyway Im going to take that motivation and USE IT.

I read a long time ago that the hardest part of working out is the first 3 days. Well Im past the 3 days and on my 4th day! Now the challenge is the next quote I read sometimes ago,”It takes 8 weeks for you to notice the difference in your body. 12 weeks for the world to notice.” So I have to give myself 2 months before I really start to notice a difference. I wont say what my plans are or anything but I definitely will be working out more and Im going to keep trying. I want to get down to my desired size 120LBS.

BUT the important thing to remember for me is that I am beautiful no matter what size I am. I am just making an adjustment to my life for the sake of my health and financially (when it comes to clothes, doctors visits). So in the long run if I keep it up I will be in good shape.


Weight Loss Journey…I don’t Know Where to Start

Let me tell you. I have been down this road so many times its ridiculous. I just dont know where to start. I really do not have much time to sit down and think of a plan right now because my courses are so demanding for June. Courses that you would take 5 months with ALL mashed up into one month. Its intense especially since I haven’t taken the classes yet. I would love to start my weight loss journey today or anytime this month but when I do something so drastic I really need to put my ALL into it. Not only that but I really need to sit down and figure out my spending buudget because before I was blowing $30 to $60 left and right and the food I bought I barely Ate all of it or got to it. So if I have time tomorrow or tonight Im going to add a page to my weight loss section called Plan of Action and just list everything I feel I need to work on toward my weight loss journey.

How Can You Start A Weight Loss Journey with Christmas and Thanksgiving Coming Up??!?!?!?

I have a dream. I want to lose 20 lbs by February the 1st but how in the world am I suppose to do that with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up?? The same thing happens to me every year…I’ll start my weight loss journey…lose 10 or 15 pounds and then BAM! Thanksgiving comes, the food looks so delicious and tempting. Then the inner fight comes….

Angel Conscious: “Jazzie, you can’t eat this you’ll gain weight.”

Bad Conscious: “But it looks so good.”

Angel Conscious: “All your hard work will be gone if you do this Jazzie, don’t do it…eat some tuna and wheat bread hun.”

Bad Conscious: “F*ck you! I’m eating!”

Then next thing I know I’m full to the point where it feels like food is piled up in my throat. Then the fact that I stay home so much plays a huge role because then I’m just eating because I can…not because I am hungry. Then the workout journey comes to a complete stop because I do not like working out infront of family and friends…so after everyone gets back to their schedule after about 5 days…its over for me lol. Then Christmas comes and that just tops my weight gain back to where I was.

What Am I Going To Do Different?

I am going to start my weight lose journey AFTER Thanksgiving is over and all of the food is gone…remove the temptation, remove the problem. Second, I’m going to work on self control. Even though I am comfortable in my skin as I am now, I really really need to lose weight. It would strongly benefit me health wise, so when I go to the doctor he/she won’t look at me, after taking my weight and basically tell me nicely,”You’re f*ckin fat.” Its embarrassing. Also I would no longer be apart of the “American Statistic” of being obese or overweight. Clothes would be a lot more cheap and easier to find.

Before when I started I made a long term goal to get down to 120 but I’m going to take this one step at a time. I want to be -20 by February. By the end of December I would like to be -10 lbs which is a lot but I can do it.
